Product source checklist: model, SKU, photo, specification, and status
A practical checklist for deciding whether two product listings describe the same configuration or merely share a family name.

Good product data is configuration-specific. A matching family name is not enough.
Capture the identifiers
Record the manufacturer, exact model name, SKU or catalog number, UPC when available, caliber or fitment, capacity, finish, and package contents.
Separate facts from retailer state
Dimensions and model identifiers may come from a manufacturer, while price, stock, shipping, and promotion state belong to a retailer listing and can change quickly.
Check the image against the text
Photos can be representative, reused across variants, or show accessories that are not included. Treat the written configuration and SKU as controlling unless the source explicitly states otherwise.
Leave a path back
Keep the source URL and refresh date with the record. Gun Bunny product pages expose their source so the listing can be rechecked instead of becoming an unsupported claim.
