Red-dot sight references: footprint, window, reticle, and mounting details
Compare red-dot listings by mounting footprint, optic format, reticle, controls, power source, and included hardware.

“Red dot” is a broad format label. The mounting interface and exact product configuration determine whether two listings belong in the same comparison.
Identify the footprint first
Record the named mounting footprint, adapter requirements, screw specifications, and included hardware. Do not infer compatibility from overall size.
Compare viewing and control details
Window size, reticle pattern, brightness controls, battery access, enclosure style, and published durability ratings can distinguish otherwise similar listings.
Separate the optic from the mounting system
A product package may include a plate or riser that another package omits. Compare the complete SKU and confirm installation requirements with the optic and host manufacturers.
